MOJO! We are IN LOVE with this young boy! He is good with dogs and kids - (I DO need to be fed separately!) He does NOT do well with cats and small animals. He's around a year and a half old and he seems to be shepherd/husky blend. Mojo prefers a home with another dog, and he needs a SECURE place to stay when you're at work or away. He also requires a GOOD DEAL of exercise daily - not just a walk. He's a boy who needs a job! He does well with livestock! Unlike our cats, our dogs do not stay at the shelter full time. They are kept in foster homes, but come in on Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Arrangements can be made to have specific dogs brought in during the week- just give us a call or email to set up a meeting time. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $125.00 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $160.00 + tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not HOLD dogs. You also have the option to microchip your new dog/puppy for only $20. Brookings city pet licenses are also available for purchase for those living in Brookings, SD. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
